sublimation

This technique is similar to the heat transfer technique in that the design is printed onto a ‘special’ substrate and then applied to the fabric using a heat transfer press. The difference is the ink is sublimated (becomes part of ) into the fabric and does not sit on top of the fabric as a separate layer.

This technique can only be used on light coloured fabrics with a high polyester content.

Advantages

Ideal for full colour all over designs. High durability as the design can never wash or peel off.

Applications

Recommended Products: Athletic Shirts & Pants, Polos, Scarves, Neckwear.
